0013: Married and In Business with Dave and Darie Martin
David and Darie were married in 1999. Their mission is to assert God’s truth that relationships are dynamic and require constant sustenance, to motivate couples through events and information that actively engages one’s faith in God’s sovereignty over marriage, to model God’s standard for intimacy, commitment, and righteous living in a marriage.
David Martin has a B.S. in technical communications from Rochester Institute of Technology. He spent several years as a journalist and magazine editor in Rochester NY before returning to New York City and establishing himself as a computer network consultant since 1995. David also has a M.S. in Information Technology Management. David is a published author and regular contributor to several publications of church and family organizations with which he is affiliated.
Darie Martin is an LMSW who works for the NYC Department of Education as a Social Worker in charge of a program for assisting pregnant and parenting teens while they complete their high school education. She has a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Social Work, both from New York University. She also has a Masters in School Leadership and Administration. She has over 15 years of experience conducting workshops. Since 2002, she and David have served as Vice President of Development for The Marriage Mentoring Network (TMN), a non-profit organization that conducts workshops and social events with the goal of strengthening the quality of relationships.
Eternal students of sound biblical teaching, David and Darie regard themselves as facilitators who research and present biblical wisdom as it applies to marriage.
